DIY- Rainbow Rice Bowl

A great way to get your child to associate fun with healthy food

Servings 4 People

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Left over Gaba rice
  • 2 Cups Left over meat or fish
  • 4 Cups Finely chopped vegetables
  • Dips/ Oils/ Sauces Ingredient idea
  • Cucumber diced Ingredient idea
  • Bell pepper diced Ingredient idea
  • Onions Ingredient idea
  • Cooked chickpeas/ Lentils/ Beans Ingredient idea
  • Peas Ingredient idea
  • Olives/ Olive oil/ Pesto Ingredient idea
  • Lettuce Ingredient idea
  • Seaweed Ingredient idea
  • Cooked cubes of butternut squash Ingredient idea
  • Creamy mango mayo Ingredient idea
  • Ranch/ Salsa/ Mayo Ingredient idea
  • Pineapple Ingredient idea
  • Berries Ingredient idea
  • Avacado Ingredient idea

Instructions
 

  • Lay out either a plate or small bowls each with a different ingredient in them
  • Let your child build their rainbow meal!
  • This is a great activity for exposing your child to many components. If your child seems scared – ask them to prepare a meal for you instead
  • Focus on enjoyment and fun rather than the amount that is consumed at this meal
